The Movement is only possible by the efforts of those behind the scenes. The volunteers that assist in the various areas of this organization are its life blood. We’re very sensitive to the fact that our volunteers are busy people, and we don’t want you to burnout! Volunteer just once a month.

Areas include:

Street Team

Are you a natural promoter? Whether at work, in class, or hanging out with your friends, as a street team member, you’ll get to spread the word about Renown! Put up posters and flyers around town, help us market upcoming bands. Do you own a blimp, a sky-writer, a can of spray paint? Hey, we appreciate all forms of advertisement.

Set up

If you can move a chair, you are qualified. Help us set up the Renown Experience, beginning at 5:30 pm each Thursday. What would it take for you to set up a few lights and plug in a few microphones? Food? Done! Our volunteers enjoy dinner on us when they’re through!

Tear Down

Always faster when we have a lot of people helping out, each Thursday after Renown is through, we have to pack everything up. Yes, all the circus clowns fit back into the tiny car and drive away. Hang out after Renown, get to know people, and move furniture around. And if the night is still young, we’ll grab a burger afterwards!

Audio Team

You can bring your expertise or learn it as you go. Audio team members help out during the Renown experience, running sound, and well…pushing and twisting various important buttons!

Visual Team

This is a way to learn programs like Media Shout, Projection media, Photoshop and Audio Audition 3. You’ll make sure the graphics on the screens are displaying properly during our conversations and while the band is playing. You’ll need your pit stick if you choose to join this team. The fate of the show rests with you! No pressure though.

Hospitality

Each Thursday, we provide coffee and soft drinks. Yes, we like to feed and hydrate our attendees! If you can make coffee, or something that resembles coffee, then you are the person for the job. We’ll need you to come around 5:30 pm on Thursdays to set up our beverage area.

Vision Dinner

If you have benefited from Renown, then join us as we help make other people aware of what Renown does! We’ll need people for all sorts of activities: administrative, hosting, serving, etc. Help out on the night of the dinner, or pitch in during the planning stages. Either way, help us cast Renown’s vision throughout Northern Alabama.

Golf Challenge

Each year, as a fundraising event, Renown hosts a Golf Challenge! Whether you play or not, the golf challenge is a way to meet with people that can help take Renown to new heights. We’ll need help putting together mail outs and pledge forms, as well as, gathering donations for giveaways.

Graphic Arts

An extension of the visual team, the Graphics team will create the flyers, posters, print ads and web graphics. Calling all you artsy techies! Help!
